There are a number of reasons why you may prefer contact lenses to eyeglasses: a glasses-free look, hassle-free vision correction, wearing non-prescription sunwear and goggles, or the convenience of not having to worry about misplacing your glasses. If you have a high prescription or astigmatism, contact lenses may provide more enhanced vision correction than glasses. Today, you can even replace your bifocal glasses with multifocal contact lenses.

Dr. Garmon and Dr. Spangle can recommend the best contact lenses for you based on a contact lens evaluation during your yearly eye examination. We may ask you questions about your visual needs at work, home and during sports or hobbies. Many people can wear more than one type of lens so it’s important for you to be educated about the advantages of different types of contact lenses.

Often your vision insurance coverage may reduce the cost of the evaluation and boxes of contacts by charging a co-payment or providing a discount. The doctor may suggest you wear the contact lenses for a 3-5 day trial period so you can evaluate vision and comfort of your new contact lenses. Our office staff is always available for your feedback and to help make your contact lens ordering experience as seamless as possible.
