Jessica, Office Manager

Jessica joined Bright Eyes in January 2019 and serves as the Office Manager. She began her career in optometry in 2014 and has enjoyed helping patients and supporting eye care teams throughout the South Bend and Plymouth areas.

As a Plymouth native, Jessica is grateful for the opportunity to serve the community she calls home. Her favorite part of her role is building relationships with patients and helping them feel welcomed, valued, and cared for throughout their experience at Bright Eyes. She believes that great eye care starts with genuine connections and exceptional customer service.

Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, shopping, attending sporting events, and staying active in the community. She proudly serves as a board member for the Marshall County Neighborhood Center and is passionate about supporting local organizations that make a difference in the lives of others.

Jessica is proud to be part of the Bright Eyes team and looks forward to helping patients feel at home every time they visit. Be sure to say hello during your next appointment!

Mackenzie, Receptionist

Mackenzie joined the Bright Eyes team in May of 2023 where she was completely new to the optometric world. She is excited to further her education and knowledge within Optometry. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as reading, watching movies and running. Mackenzie also coaches soaftball both as the JV Coach at Plymouth High School and the Plymouth Youth Softball Program. She is excited to be part of the Bright Eyes team.

Cortnee, Paraoptometric Technician

Cortnee lives in Plymouth with her husband and two children. She has worked as an optometric technician since 2017 and is a Certified Paraoptometric by the American Optometric Association. Cortnee is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable communicating their eyecare needs. She loves working at Bright Eyes because we have a fun workplace culture and we are a business that cares for our community. She enjoys spending time with her family, whether that is attending her kids' sporting events or fishing. Throughout the summer months, you will find her in her ever-expanding fruit and vegetable garden.

Laurie, Optician

Laurie has been an optician for over 30 years, with 10 of those years at the Plymouth, Indiana Hoya Safety Lab prior to it's closing. Laurie loves working with patients. She has lived in both South Bend and Plymouth. In her extra time she loves spend time with her family especially her 3 granddaughters. She and her husband enjoy time with their Cavalier King Charles puppies and raising chickens. ​​​​​​​

Kathleen, Optician

Kathleen has been in optical since 2014. She has worked as an optician all over The Region prior to joining the Bright Eyes family. Originally from LaPorte, she recently relocated and bought her first home in Walkerton. She looks forward to meeting and building new connections with our patients. Kathleen loves to spend time with her family and friends. In her spare time she loves to play with her dog, Leo, and craft.

Michal Joy, Assistant & Technician

Michal Joy grew up in the Plymouth area and has experience in the optometry field as well as media and ministry. Her and her husband are actively involved serving at Crossroads Church and enjoy spending time with their goldendoodles. Michal Joy looks forward to using her previous optometry experience and her organization skills to assist the family of Bright Eyes.
